Eurostar is all set to resume its direct route to Disneyland Paris. This route was at a halt as the UK went into lockdown in March.
People planning to travel can book the service from London to Marne-la-Vallée. The starting price is £39 each way for adults and £31 each way for children.
However, France is currently included in the UK’s safe to travel list. And people returning back to the UK from France will not have to quarantine for 14 days.
Before starting the route the service to the Continent has introduced new hygiene measures on board. It is following social distancing measures by booking a few seats at a time. Moreover, they are deep cleaning the trains before every journey.
Disneyland Paris reopened in phases on July 15 with Newport Bay Club Hotel, Hotel Cheyenne and Hotel Santa Fe now reopened.
Natacha Rafalski, President of Disneyland Paris, said at the time: “All of us at Disneyland Paris are excited to be on the path to reopening over the next few weeks. Making magic means even more, as we reflect on the resilience of our Cast Members and community, the enthusiasm of our guests and fans, and the positive momentum of many reopenings in the tourism industry across Europe.”
“We are looking forward to the return of our Cast Members and reopening our gates for guests to once again enjoy.”
Disneyland Paris is following new safety measures. These measures include mandatory face masks for those aged over 11. Tickets will be booked in advance and it will be operating at limited daily capacity.
Similar to many other tourism-led companies, Disneyland incurred a loss of $1.96 billion (£1.49 billion). However, it reported a profit of $1.7 billion (£1.29 billion) in the same quarter last year as most of its global parks remained closed between March and July. Disney is reopening its theme parks around the world. Disneyland Paris, Disneyland Tokyo, and Florida Disney World are all now open. But Disneyland in Anaheim, California remains closed indefinitely.
Measures at Other Disneyland Parks
The visitors will have to make the reservations through the reservation system for park entry. And the visitors and staff will have to go through temperature screenings before entering the parks.
Roaming high-energy squads enforce social distancing. visitors aren’t able to meet and greet the Disney characters. And high-touch experiences such as makeover opportunities and playgrounds remain temporarily unavailable.
Visitors can sanitize their hands frequently as hand-sanitizing stations are available at the theme park. And “relaxation stations” have been installed in every Walt Disney World theme park.
Once inside, guests can not remove their masks except while eating and drinking. They can have a socially-distanced sit-down at the tables provided.
